Job Summary
To lead a growing engineering team, the full-time Head of Engineering will manage technical execution, mentor engineers, and ensure delivery accountability while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a blended team of engineers and contractors, fostering a culture of collaboration and ownership
- Own architectural decisions and ensure engineering quality, including code review norms and deployment safety
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and Customer Experience teams to translate business priorities into engineering plans
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of software development experience, with 2-3 years in a leadership role while actively coding
- Strong fundamentals in distributed systems and cloud architecture
- Proven track record of maintaining predictable quality and delivery
- Experience leading a distributed team across multiple time zones
- Fluency with modern AI-assisted development practices
