Head of Financial Systems Engineering

Job Summary

Leading the engineering vision for financial systems, the full-time Head of Financial Systems Engineering will manage a team to develop a technical strategy, enhance financial data reliability, and drive modernization efforts in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Translate Finance priorities into a clear technical strategy and delivery roadmap
• Define a target architecture and phased transformation plan based on business needs and technical assessment
• Establish standards for financial data quality, lineage, and ownership across various systems

Required qualifications

• Significant experience in software engineering and technical leadership within financial systems or data architecture
• Strong track record of hiring, coaching, and developing engineering teams
• Deep understanding of ledgers, reconciliation, and the path from operational events to auditable records
• Experience with crypto or digital asset infrastructure and related challenges
• Proficiency in Rust, TypeScript/Node.js, or Python, and familiarity with finance applications such as NetSuite or Kyriba
