Job Summary
To drive AI production capabilities across Bausch + Lomb, the full-time Head of Forward Deployed Engineering will manage a small team while building and deploying AI-enabled solutions, integrating with enterprise systems, and ensuring user adoption in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Design, code, and deploy AI solutions while integrating with enterprise systems and ensuring production readiness
- Conduct workflow assessments and collaborate with plant leaders to redesign processes around AI implementation
- Coach and mentor the Forward Deployed Engineering team, setting standards for code quality and deployment practices
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- 10+ years in software engineering and digital transformation with a proven track record of shipping production code
- Proficiency in Python and experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud
- Hands-on experience with generative AI, agents, ML, and workflow automation in production environments
- Experience leading or mentoring engineers while actively contributing to projects
