Job Summary

To support a growing organization, the full-time Head of Learning and Development will shape the talent and capability strategy, lead the L&D team, and design impactful learning programs in a hybrid work environment based in Sheffield.

Key responsibilities

• Shape the talent and capability strategy, partnering with Talent Acquisition to address skills gaps through development and hiring
• Lead and coach the L&D team to promote self-directed learning using curated resources and practical support
• Own the Career Framework and performance management process, ensuring they are accessible and beneficial for managers and colleagues

Required qualifications

• Experience delivering a talent or capability strategy linked to business goals, including workforce planning and skills mapping
• Proven track record in enabling self-directed learning and developing practical pathways for employee growth
• Experience in managing career frameworks and performance management processes effectively
• Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to influence senior leaders
• Familiarity with learning platforms and AI-enabled learning tools, alongside budget and supplier management experience
