Job Summary
Leading the neuro-symbolic architecture, the full-time Head of Neuro-Symbolic AI will set the direction for the COGENT architecture, manage a specialized team, and ensure the platform's reasoning capabilities are trustworthy and explainable, all while working remotely or in Seattle.
Key responsibilities
- Own the direction of the COGENT architecture, integrating symbolic reasoning with neural capabilities
- Lead the team in advancing reasoning over the knowledge graph to deliver actionable insights for community members
- Establish research agendas and production readiness for neuro-symbolic methods while ensuring explainability and trust in reasoning
Required qualifications
- Deep expertise in neuro-symbolic AI, knowledge representation, or a closely related field
- Experience combining symbolic methods with neural or language-model systems
- Proven track record of transforming advanced AI research into operational systems
- Strong grounding in knowledge graphs, retrieval, and modern LLMs
- Experience leading teams or a clear readiness to take on leadership responsibilities
