Head of Platform

Job Summary

Leading a talented team, the full-time Head of Platform will own the infrastructure strategy and platform roadmap, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of AI infrastructure while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Own Mimica's infrastructure strategy and platform roadmap across all products, making key decisions on cloud architecture and deployment models
• Lead and grow the Platform team, managing existing engineers, planning headcount, and setting goals and metrics
• Oversee all AI infrastructure, including MLOps tooling and budget management, while maintaining a strong DevEx culture

Required qualifications

• Proven experience leading engineering teams, including managing team leads or other managers
• Solid hands-on experience with Kubernetes across multiple regions, preferably on GKE
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and GitOps tools like ArgoCD
• Track record in owning reliability, including setting SLOs, leading incident response, and disaster recovery testing
• Experience managing infrastructure budgets, including cloud cost attribution and forecasting
