Head of Security

Job Summary

Owning the Foundation's security posture, the full-time Head of Security will manage security across protocol development, infrastructure, tooling, and incident readiness in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the Foundation security program, ensuring secure development practices and incident response readiness
• Manage relationships with security service providers, directing scope and priorities for security outcomes across the ecosystem
• Implement incident response procedures and harden security practices across various environments and tools

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of security experience with hands-on roles in security engineering, application security, or infrastructure security
• Direct experience in crypto, DeFi, smart contract, or blockchain security
• Strong understanding of smart contract audits, vulnerability management, and secure deployment practices
• Experience in leading incident response for high-severity technical or security events
• Ability to function as both a security strategist and a hands-on builder in a small team
