Head of Security

Job Summary

As the Head of Security, the full-time remote leader will define and drive the security roadmap, manage a diverse security team, and ensure regulatory compliance while collaborating with various departments to deliver a secure product to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the hiring and mentorship of security engineers and compliance staff while managing strategic planning across security domains
• Champion an AI-first security program, focusing on vulnerability management and detection tooling to enhance security processes
• Oversee the governance, risk, and compliance functions, expanding control frameworks and managing privacy obligations in partnership with legal teams

Required qualifications

• 10+ years in security, including 4+ years in a leadership role managing senior technical leaders
• Experience in developing and executing company-level security strategies and budgets in a fast-paced technology environment
• Hands-on experience in application/product security, infrastructure security, and GRC, with familiarity in frameworks like SOX, GDPR, and SOC2
• Proven track record of hiring and developing security professionals into leaders
• Direct experience with AI transformation in security or IT organizations, demonstrating notable outcomes
