Head of Security

Job Summary

As the first Head of Security in a full-time remote position, the successful candidate will lead security initiatives across the engineering platform, manage incident response, and establish a robust security posture while building a security team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead security direction and execution across infrastructure, cloud, and production systems
• Own end-to-end incident response, including detection, response, and regular tabletop exercises
• Establish and maintain a strong security posture, including identity and access management and risk management

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in security, particularly with high-availability, internet-facing infrastructure
• Strong engineering skills with the ability to read and write code
• Deep expertise in cloud security and production environments
• Hands-on experience with security incident response and program development
• Experience securing developer products, APIs, or platforms
