Head of Security Operations

Job Summary

Leading a global team, the full-time Head of Security Operations will manage the Security Operations team to design, implement, and evolve security practices, ensuring the integrity of infrastructure and product deployments while working remotely worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Hire and mentor a team of technical security professionals while defining security standards and playbooks
• Own and drive the architecture and design of the Security Operations Center (SOC) and improve security architecture
• Identify, contain, and guide the remediation of security threats and contribute to open source threat intelligence initiatives

Required qualifications

• Proven track record of mitigating advanced threat actors and nation-state threats
• Expert technical understanding of SOC architecture and design, including logging and network segmentation strategies
• Expertise in Linux security and the ability to define and automate incident response playbooks
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field, or a compelling alternative narrative
• Leadership and management ability with exceptional business English writing and presentation skills
