Head of Strategic Research

Job Summary

To support large-scale initiatives within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare industries, the remote Head of Strategic Research Initiatives will lead complex global programs, establish strategic frameworks, and partner with executive leadership to drive operational performance and organizational growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of complex global initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and long-term business objectives
• Establish strategic frameworks, governance structures, and performance metrics to support program success and organizational effectiveness
• Build, mentor, and develop high-performing leadership teams while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Business Administration, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred
• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience within life sciences, healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, consulting, or a related industry
• Proven success leading complex global programs or strategic initiatives within a large-scale organization
• Demonstrated ability to drive organizational growth and cross-functional collaboration
• Experience managing executive-level stakeholder relationships in highly matrixed environments
