Head of Trading & Risk Management
Job Summary
Leading the trading activities and P&L management for battery energy storage projects, the full-time Head of Trading & Risk Management will direct the trading team, optimize financial performance, and enhance risk management strategies in a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and lead the Plus Power Trading team to achieve financial optimization for battery energy storage projects
- Develop and improve processes for load and price forecasting, optimizing energy revenue, and enhancing trading tools
- Manage hedge trading positions, evaluate hedging strategies, and provide consultative reviews of asset contracting opportunities
Required Qualifications
- Minimum BA/BS in economics, finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years of experience in North American electricity and natural gas markets trading roles
- Knowledge of trading DA-RT markets in ERCOT, ISO-NE, PJM, and other RTOs
- Exceptional quantitative and analytical capabilities with deep knowledge of trading practices and risk management
- Demonstrated experience building and leading high-performing teams
