Health Claims Specialist
Job Summary
To support healthcare providers, the full-time Health Claims Specialist will investigate and bill health insurance claims remotely, ensuring maximum payment from insurance companies while contributing to team efforts through denial reports and audits.
Key responsibilities
- Research and resolve claims for commercial health, Medicare, and Medicaid
- File correct UB04's and 1500 HCFA's with subrogation information to payers
- Conduct timely follow-up activities to determine claim status and facilitate payments
Required qualifications
- Experience with health insurance claims research and resolution
- Familiarity with billing health insurance related to auto accidents
- Proficiency in EPIC and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work on multiple computer screens and software applications simultaneously
- Strong performance in a fast-paced environment with productivity metrics
