Health Claims Specialist
Job Summary
Billing and investigating health insurance claims, the full-time remote Health Claims Specialist will ensure maximum payment from insurance companies for hospitals and medical providers while contributing to denial reports and audits.
Key responsibilities
- Research and resolve claims for commercial health, Medicare, and Medicaid
- File correct UB04's and 1500 HCFA's with subrogation information to payers
- Conduct timely follow-up activities to determine claim status and facilitate payments
Required qualifications
- Experience in researching and resolving health insurance claims
- Familiarity with billing health insurance related to auto accidents
- Experience working in EPIC
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to maintain performance in a fast-paced environment with productivity metrics
