Health Economics Research Director
Job Summary
Leading a team of research scientists, the full-time remote Health Economics Research Director will measure clinical outcomes for cancer patients, conduct program evaluations, and set strategies for predictive analytics and risk adjustment to communicate the organization's value to customers.
Key responsibilities
- Lead research initiatives to assess and communicate the impact of Thyme Care on clinical outcomes for cancer patients
- Conduct internal program evaluations and provide actionable insights for care teams to enhance performance
- Develop and guide strategies for predictive analytics and risk adjustment, overseeing analyses related to provider partnerships and clinical interventions
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in health outcomes evaluations within a payer, health system, managed care, or value-based care organization
- Deep knowledge of clinical outcome measures and causal inference methods
- Expertise in predictive analytics and risk adjustment methods for evaluating care quality
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with large healthcare claims databases; familiarity with programming languages like Python is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in economics, statistics, actuarial science, or a related quantitative field; an advanced degree is preferred
