Health Informatics Lead

Job Summary

Providing strategic and technical leadership in health informatics and interoperability, the full-time Health Informatics & Interoperability Lead will guide multidisciplinary teams in advancing health information exchange, digital quality measurement, and value-based care initiatives while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Serve as a senior subject matter expert in health informatics and interoperability, offering strategic and technical guidance on FHIR and health data standards
• Lead the development and advancement of Mathematica's interoperability and FHIR strategy, including technical architecture and implementation approaches
• Guide projects involving interoperable health data and digital quality measurement, ensuring alignment with standards and effective implementation

Required qualifications:

• Master's degree in health informatics, computer science, data science, public health, or a related field; doctoral or clinical degree preferred
• At least ten years of experience in health informatics, interoperability, or related fields
• Demonstrated expertise with FHIR and HL7 standards, including practical implementation experience
• Strong understanding of health care data models, terminology standards, and interoperability challenges
• Experience with digital quality measurement and related interoperability use cases
