Job Summary
To support the production and analysis of health indicators, the part-time Health Information Consultant will collaborate on civil registration and vital statistics (CRVS) data quality assessments, indicator development, and dissemination of health statistics while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to the assessment and prioritization of health information needs and existing indicator frameworks
- Analyze data quality and assess the completeness and timeliness of health indicators derived from various data sources
- Develop and implement methodologies for monitoring health data performance and produce analytical reports on health indicators
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in public health, epidemiology, statistics, or a related field; Master's or PhD preferred
- At least seven years of professional experience in health statistics, epidemiology, or related fields
- Demonstrated experience in the analysis and validation of health indicators and CRVS performance indicators
- Strong technical knowledge of health indicators, data quality assessment, and health information systems
- Very good written and spoken knowledge of English and/or Spanish; working knowledge of the other language is required
