Providing compassionate support for individuals seeking cancer-related information, the full-time Health Information Specialist will manage inquiries from the public and medical professionals through various communication channels while adhering to policies and maintaining service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a high volume of consumer inquiries, delivering accurate and timely information with empathy
• Continuously acquire knowledge of healthcare services and organizational resources to effectively assist customers
• Ensure quality assurance in communications and contribute to process improvement initiatives for enhanced customer satisfaction

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences, Psychology, Nursing, Education, Communications, or a related field
• 1 year of experience in healthcare, social services, help line, counseling, or teaching
• Commitment to continuous learning and maintaining expertise in relevant fields
• Strong communication and interviewing skills
• Ability to handle difficult conversations and maintain professionalism in challenging situations
