Job Summary
Supporting healthcare provider clients remotely, the full-time Healthcare Associate Actuary will model provider performance under various value-based payment models, evaluate value-based contracts, and manage client projects while providing clear analysis to support decision-making.
Key responsibilities
- Model provider performance under MSSP, ACO REACH, and LEAD, including benchmarking and scenario testing
- Evaluate value-based contracts and model reimbursement to support rate negotiations with payers
- Manage projects, including scoping, budgeting, and client communication, while drafting client-facing materials
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, math, statistics, economics, or a similar quantitative field
- ASA designation, with a focus on progressing towards FSA
- Five to eight years of experience in healthcare actuarial work, with knowledge of provider perspectives
- Hands-on knowledge of CMS or CMMI total cost of care programs
- Experience with project management, including scoping, budgeting, and client interaction
