Healthcare Billing Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare practice, the full-time Healthcare Billing Specialist will manage patient billing inquiries, resolve reimbursement questions, and provide customer service in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for patients regarding billing and reimbursement inquiries
• Research and resolve patient concerns while ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with established processes
• Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate issue resolution and meet established call volume and quality standards

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 6 months of healthcare billing, reimbursement, or collections experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Experience in a call center environment with performance metrics
• Ability to demonstrate empathy and provide emotional support to patients
