Healthcare Data Analyst
Job Summary
To support value-based care initiatives, the full-time remote Medical Economics (MedEcon) Data Analyst will examine healthcare claims, build data models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data into actionable insights.
Key responsibilities:
- Examine claims to identify cost drivers, patient utilization trends, and care gaps
- Build data models and develop executive dashboards to forecast expenditures and quantify program savings
- Collaborate with finance, clinical operations, and provider networks to define reporting needs and execute analytics projects
Required qualifications:
- Approximately 6 years of experience in healthcare analytics, reporting, or performance measurement
- Strong experience with claims, eligibility, utilization, EHR, and risk-based performance data
- Proficiency with SQL and modern BI tools, with a comfort in working closely with Data Engineering
- Demonstrated ability to lead analytics efforts in complex, cross-functional environments
- Experience supporting value-based contracts and client-facing reporting
