Healthcare Interoperability Engineer
Job Summary
To support critical interoperability initiatives across its nationwide imaging network, the full-time contract Healthcare Interoperability Engineer will design, develop, test, deploy, and support healthcare interfaces while collaborating with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Design and maintain HL7 interfaces and system-to-system integrations across various healthcare platforms
- Develop integration components and automation tools using programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, and SQL
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define workflows and optimize existing processes for healthcare systems integration
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in healthcare interoperability and interface development
- Strong hands-on experience with HL7 interface engines and healthcare messaging workflows
- Proficient in programming with JavaScript, Python, Java, and SQL
- Experience designing and implementing REST/API integrations
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) technologies like Terraform
