Job Summary
To support HEDIS projects, the part-time HEDIS Abstractor - Licensed Nurse will conduct data collection and abstraction of medical records remotely while meeting productivity standards and compliance regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Review medical records and transfer critical HEDIS data elements into a specified data entry portal
- Enter data into proprietary software while maintaining accuracy thresholds
- Attend required training sessions and comply with HIPAA laws and regulations
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of prior work experience in HEDIS abstraction or review
- Medical Coder Certification (CPC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA) or an active nursing license (LPN, LVN, RN)
- Own a Windows 10/11 laptop with high-speed internet access and video-call capabilities
- Availability to work between 6:00 am EST and 6:00 pm EST for a minimum of 4 hours daily
- Ability to complete required training within the designated timeframe
