HEDIS Medical Record Analyst
Job Summary
To support HEDIS reporting, the full-time temporary HEDIS Medical Record Analyst will retrieve, abstract, and review medical records from various electronic systems, ensuring the accurate capture of required data elements over a 4-5 month assignment starting January 4th, with a preference for candidates residing in Washington, Idaho, Oregon, and Utah.
Key responsibilities:
- Collects and prepares medical records from EMR/EHR systems for abstraction
- Documents retrieval progress and communicates effectively with provider offices
- Abstracts clinical data elements from medical records for HEDIS reporting
Required qualifications:
- Associate degree in Nursing or related field with 3 years of clinical experience
- Demonstrated command of medical terminology and EMR/EHR systems
- Knowledge of ICD-9 and 10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and DRG coding conventions
- Prior experience in HEDIS and medical record retrieval or abstraction
- Valid RN, LVN, LPN, CPC, or CCS certification preferred
