High Availability Mainframe Developer
Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, the High Availability Mainframe Developer will develop, maintain, and support business-critical mainframe applications in a high-availability environment while providing Tier III production support and collaborating with the Scrum team.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and enhance mainframe applications, implementing code and configuration changes based on requirements
- Provide Tier III support, troubleshooting complex production issues and performing root-cause analysis
- Collaborate with the High Availability Scrum Team to ensure deliverables meet coding standards and acceptance criteria
Required qualifications
- Strong hands-on development experience with Assembler, CICS, and COBOL
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and supporting mainframe applications in high-availability environments
- Experience working within an Agile/Scrum team
- Relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
- Familiarity with FIS Systems, Connex, JCL, DB2, and core banking applications is preferred
