HIL Test Automation Engineer
Job Summary
To ensure the highest standards of reliability in solar power systems, the remote HIL Test Automation Engineer will develop and execute automated test frameworks for SIL and HIL environments, transitioning validation processes to a fully automated framework.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and scripts using Python for power, control, and SCADA systems
- Define and execute comprehensive Verification and Validation (V&V) plans to ensure software requirements are met under various conditions
- Integrate automated HIL/SIL testing into CI/CD pipelines, providing real-time feedback to development teams
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 2+ years of professional experience in software validation or test automation for hardware-focused systems
- Expert-level proficiency in Python and Bash scripting, with practical knowledge of PLC/RTAC/IEC 61131-3 Control logic
- Experience architecting or extending modern pythonic test frameworks (such as Pytest or OpenHTF)
- Experience with Git, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, and containerization tools like Docker
