HIM Document Analyst

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the HIM Document Analyst will ensure accuracy and compliance in patient documentation by reviewing medical records for completeness, performing quantitative analysis, and linking deficiencies to the appropriate medical staff for resolution.

Key responsibilities:

• Reviews records for missing documents, signatures, and required text
• Performs quantitative analysis to ensure complete documentation
• Assigns deficiencies to the appropriate medical staff for completion

Required qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• Two to five years of relevant experience required
• At least one year, preferably two, in an acute care setting with responsibility for documentation requirements
• Demonstrated competency in all areas of Medical Records
• Experience with electronic patient record systems preferred
