History Adjunct Instructor

Job Summary

Seeking a part-time History Adjunct Instructor, this position will focus on teaching college-level courses, developing instructional materials, and evaluating student learning, with potential remote or hybrid work options available within certain states.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and revise instructional materials while presenting course content in an organized manner
• Evaluate student learning and maintain accurate student records, including holding office hours
• Participate in professional development activities and promote the school values of innovation, collaboration, accountability, respect, and excellence

Required qualifications

• Master's degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in a relevant field from an accredited institution
• Prior teaching experience preferred, particularly in traditional, hybrid, and online courses
• Familiarity with San Juan College's Learning Management System (Canvas) and technology-enhanced curriculum
• Access to home internet, a personal computer, and a telephone
• Willingness to learn and utilize multiple technology platforms for student communication
