Job Summary
Seeking a highly motivated History Curriculum Subject Matter Expert for a contract position, this remote role will enhance asynchronous courses in U.S. History, World History, Government, and Economics by revising assignments, modernizing assessments, and improving student engagement through innovative learning experiences.
Key responsibilities
- Revise assignments to align with learning objectives and incorporate modern assessment strategies
- Redesign formative and summative assessments for rigor and alignment with standards
- Communicate consistently and meet deadlines while working independently on course material updates
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in History, Political Science, Economics, Social Studies Education, or a closely related field (Master's preferred)
- Demonstrated subject matter expertise in U.S. History, World History, Government, or Economics
- Classroom teaching or curriculum development experience for grades 5-12
- Experience designing standards-aligned assignments and assessments
- Strong written communication skills for asynchronous instruction
