Horticulture Adjunct Instructor

Job Summary

To support student learning in Horticulture, the part-time Horticulture Adjunct Instructor will plan, organize, and deliver instruction in various formats, including classroom and online environments, while providing timely feedback and engaging with students outside of class.

Key responsibilities:

• Create a learning environment that promotes knowledge and skill acquisition in Horticulture
• Align course activities with learning outcomes and employ active learning strategies to enhance student engagement
• Deliver instruction and conduct assessments while adhering to college policies and providing meaningful feedback to students

Required qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Horticulture with two or more years of related occupational experience
• Experience in landscape design applications and theory, installation, and management
• Ability to communicate effectively in an electronic format
• Teaching experience in the discipline, preferably at the college level
• Knowledge of learning management systems such as CANVAS
