To support a leading medical device company, the part-time Hungarian Life Science Translator will translate life science content from English to Hungarian, ensuring readability and understanding while managing a workload of 2000 to 5000 words weekly in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Translate life science content from English into Hungarian while maintaining original meaning
- Assess language quality on an ongoing basis as a Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) linguist
- Utilize CAT tools such as XTM and Phrase for translation tasks
Required qualifications
- Native speaker of Hungarian with fluency in English
- Degree in linguistics, medical, or a related subject
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in translating and editing medical documents
- Proficient in using CAT tools, including XTM and Trados
- Strong communication skills, with a willingness to engage with customers via calls
