To support a leading medical device company, the part-time Hungarian Life Sciences Linguist will translate Life Science content from English to Hungarian, ensuring readability and accuracy while managing a workload of 2000 to 5000 words weekly in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Translate Life Science content from English into Hungarian, maintaining original meaning and clarity for the target audience
- Assess language quality on an ongoing basis as part of the machine translation post-editing process
- Utilize CAT tools such as XTM and Phrase to enhance translation efficiency and accuracy
Required qualifications
- Native speaker of Hungarian with fluent English proficiency
- Degree in linguistics, medical studies, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in translating and editing medical documents in the life sciences field
- Proficient in using CAT tools, especially XTM and Trados
- Strong communication skills and willingness to engage with clients directly
