Job Summary
To ensure optimal performance and security of IBM Db2 databases, the full-time IBM Database Administrator will install, maintain, and support databases in a remote environment while managing backup and recovery procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Installs, configures, and upgrades IBM Db2 databases while monitoring their health and performance
- Manages backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures, ensuring data availability and security
- Tunes SQL and database settings to enhance performance and supports developers with schema changes
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience administering IBM Db2 databases
- Experience with Db2 on Linux, UNIX, or Windows (LUW) or z/OS
- Strong SQL and shell scripting skills
- Experience with backup, recovery, and performance tuning
