IBM MQ Administrator
Job Summary
To support a complex distributed environment, the full-time IBM MQ Administrator will manage MQ cluster configurations, perform routine maintenance, and automate administrative tasks using PowerShell and Linux shell scripting while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Design, configure, and support IBM MQ Clusters, ensuring workload balancing and high availability
- Implement and manage IBM MQ Managed File Transfer (MFT) solutions, including setup and agent configuration
- Perform MQ application debugging and resolve message flow issues and MQRC errors
Required qualifications
- Strong experience with IBM MQ cluster configuration and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in PowerShell and Linux shell scripting for automation tasks
- Experience in conducting MQ version upgrades and post-upgrade validation
- Knowledge of MQ maintenance activities, including patching and performance tuning
- Ability to develop custom monitoring scripts leveraging MQ APIs or command-line tools
