IBM Systems Administrator
Job Summary
Supporting IBM infrastructure and software operations, the full-time IBM Systems Administrator will manage daily IBM i operations, including performance monitoring, backup management, and incident resolution in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational support for IBM hardware and software, including performance monitoring and service event management
- Coordinate with vendors for technical support and manage backup and patch processes across IBM i LPARs
- Monitor server performance and implement improvements while adhering to security standards and change management processes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting IBM systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of backup and recovery processes
- Working knowledge of IBM i operating systems and system configuration
- Ability to support system testing activities related to upgrades and disaster recovery exercises
