ICT Specialist Project Manager

Job Summary

Leading the structuring of technological requirements and governance, the part-time ICT Specialist Project Manager will enhance the operational capabilities of the National Secretariat for Civil Protection and Defense (SEDEC) by modernizing the Integrated Disaster Information System (S2ID 4.0) and developing complementary mobile applications, all while working remotely using personal computing equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the technical coordination of the S2ID 4.0 project, focusing on IT governance and software project management
• Act as a strategic liaison between SEDEC's units and the software development team, translating business needs into system requirements and user stories
• Manage the product backlog and ensure the delivery of software meets the operational needs of Brazil's civil protection system

Required qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, Education, or a related field with five years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with seven years of experience
• Experience in developing IT tools or facilitating training sessions related to project management
• Proficiency in Portuguese (fluent), with basic proficiency in English and Spanish
• Desirable specialization or certification in Project Management, preferably PRINCE2 Foundation/Practitioner
