Identity Migration Specialist

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Identity Migration Specialist to modernize a large enterprise identity and Microsoft 365 estate by consolidating legacy Active Directory forests, migrating users and devices to Entra ID and Intune, and executing tenant-to-tenant migrations for Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the migration of users, groups, and devices from legacy forests to the target forest while ensuring coexistence and access to cloud identities
• Execute tenant-to-tenant migrations for Microsoft 365 services, including handling domain and mail-flow cutovers
• Utilize various migration tools and script repetitive tasks while maintaining operational governance and documentation throughout the process

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft identity and infrastructure, including Active Directory, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365
• Hands-on experience with identity migration and Microsoft 365 workload migration, with at least two completed projects
• Strong understanding of Active Directory concepts, including forests, trusts, and Group Policy
• Proficiency in PowerShell and experience with migration tools such as Quest, ShareGate, or BitTitan MigrationWiz
• Practical knowledge of Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive permissions, and Intune policies
