Illinois Certified Recovery Coach
Job Summary
To support justice-involved individuals on their recovery journey, the full-time remote Illinois Certified Recovery Coach will build trusting relationships, offer hope and motivation through lived experience, and collaborate with clients and the care team to develop personalized recovery plans.
Key responsibilities
- Build trusting, nonjudgmental relationships with clients based on shared lived experience
- Collaborate with participants and the Holon care team to develop personalized recovery plans
- Connect clients to community resources and advocate for them within the justice and care systems
Required qualifications
- Certified as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRS) or Peer Recovery Coach in Illinois
- At least one year of lived experience in sustained recovery (strongly preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in a peer support role is strongly preferred
- Experience working with justice-involved populations is a plus
