Job Summary
Investigating insurance claims to determine liability, the full-time Illinois Licensed Claims Adjuster will negotiate settlements, assess damages, and ensure compliance with insurance regulations while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Investigates insurance claims by gathering information from policyholders, witnesses, and relevant sources
- Assesses damage through on-site inspections and documentation review, ensuring accurate claim evaluations
- Negotiates settlements with claimants and communicates updates throughout the claims process
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Legal, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field with 2 years of related experience, or an advanced degree without experience
- Illinois Licensed Claims Adjuster certification
- Preferred certifications include Accredited Claims Adjuster (ACA), Associate in Claims (AIC), or Certified Claims Professional (CCP)
- Experience with claims management systems and documentation processes
- Knowledge of insurance regulations and industry developments
