Illinois Licensed Clinical Pharmacist
Job Summary
To support project-based quality initiatives, the full-time Illinois Licensed Clinical Pharmacist will work remotely Monday through Friday, focusing on developing formularies, creating clinical policies, and ensuring alignment with state guidelines.
Key responsibilities
- Develop clinical criteria for medications and recommend plan design changes
- Monitor prior authorization requests and provide clinical support to internal departments
- Ensure appropriate quality controls and initiate opportunities for performance improvement in pharmacy practice
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (Pharm.D., M.S.) in pharmacy
- 2+ years of experience in managed care, clinical, hospital, or retail pharmacy, or 1+ years of pharmacy residency program experience
- Current state's Pharmacist license with no restrictions preferred
- Strong data analysis and Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to critically evaluate clinical trials, treatment guidelines, and drug literature
