Job Summary
Supporting the Illinois SALT program, the full-time remote Illinois Licensed Clinical Reviewer will evaluate assessments, determine individuals' needs for additional services, and conduct quality control reviews of field assessors' work.
Key responsibilities
- Review service requests, including admissions and continued stays, using established clinical criteria and escalate complex cases as needed
- Issue approvals, denials, or recommendations based on contract requirements and standardized decision frameworks
- Complete timely documentation of review activities within contract systems and communicate with providers and state workers as required
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required with 2+ years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a closely related field, or an active, unrestricted RN license
- Minimum of two years post-graduate work experience in the mental health field
- Minimum of two years' experience conducting mental health assessments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
