Illinois Licensed Clinical Reviewer

Job Summary

Supporting the Illinois SALT program, the full-time remote Illinois Licensed Clinical Reviewer will evaluate assessments, determine individuals' needs for additional services, and conduct quality control reviews of field assessors' work.

Key responsibilities

• Review service requests, including admissions and continued stays, using established clinical criteria and escalate complex cases as needed
• Issue approvals, denials, or recommendations based on contract requirements and standardized decision frameworks
• Complete timely documentation of review activities within contract systems and communicate with providers and state workers as required

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 2+ years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a closely related field, or an active, unrestricted RN license
• Minimum of two years post-graduate work experience in the mental health field
• Minimum of two years' experience conducting mental health assessments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
