Job Summary
To ensure accurate coding and compliance with guidelines, the full-time salaried OP/ED/OBS Coding Auditor will review coding assignments, collaborate with coding and billing teams, and maintain coding integrity while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Perform data quality reviews on inpatient and outpatient records for proper coding and APC assignments
- Provide coding quality information and statistical reports to the Coding Manager, analyzing trends
- Communicate with Medical Staff regarding ICD-10/CPT code assignments and assist in coder education
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
- Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credentials
- Five years or more of acute care facility coding experience
- Thorough knowledge of Solventum 360
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks within a dynamic environment
