Illinois Licensed Design Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking an Illinois Licensed Design Engineer, the full-time position will focus on designing high voltage transmission lines using PLS-CADD software, collaborating with project teams, and developing construction documents, with the option to work remotely or onsite in Chicago, IL.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitate collaboration between disciplines and project team members to determine project scope and requirements
- Develop construction documents including project design criteria, drawings, and specifications for high voltage transmission lines
- Coordinate design aspects of projects, estimate construction costs, and specify materials
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited school
- Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience, including 1 year in Transmission Line Engineering or related field
- EIT certification required; ability to obtain PE licensure within 2 years preferred
- Proficiency in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE preferred
- Previous experience working with or for a Utility is highly preferred
