Job Summary
To support the HEDIS Effectiveness Data and Information Set project, the part-time Illinois Licensed Field Abstractor will perform comprehensive reviews of medical records remotely, ensuring compliance with NCQA guidelines and maintaining a low error rate in data entry.
Key responsibilities
- Schedule and review medical records at healthcare facilities while complying with established procedures
- Utilize software applications to enter data and manage chase status for HEDIS operations
- Participate in medical record abstraction and maintain compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements
Required qualifications
- Clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Data entry and typing experience
- Proficiency in PC applications, including Word and Excel
- Auditing experience preferred
