Job Summary
Supporting Zurich's growth initiatives, the full-time Illinois Licensed Group Accident Underwriter will manage technical and transactional responsibilities, ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and providing exceptional service to distribution partners while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Comply with underwriting rules, pricing guidelines, and insurance regulations
- Create and review documentation for quotes, policies, and marketing materials
- Collaborate with senior underwriters and internal stakeholders to learn and implement product offerings
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent with at least 1 year of experience in Underwriting or Market Facing roles, or 2 years in Claims or Underwriting Support
- Knowledge of the insurance industry and relevant legal and regulatory environments
- Understanding of underwriting philosophy and national/local filing regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Excel for data organization and analysis
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-based environment
