Illinois Licensed Information Security Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance data protection and governance, the full-time Illinois Licensed Information Security Engineer specializing in Microsoft Purview will design, implement, and administer Microsoft Purview capabilities within the Microsoft 365 environment, working remotely and collaborating with various teams to ensure compliance and effective data lifecycle management.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Microsoft Purview capabilities across the Microsoft 365 environment
• Design, configure, and deploy Purview policies and controls while developing operational procedures and technical documentation
• Develop and manage data loss prevention controls and retention policies across Microsoft 365 workloads

Required qualifications

• BS or BA degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent education or experience; master's degree preferred
• Strong hands-on experience administering Microsoft Purview in a production Microsoft 365 environment
• Knowledge of Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention and Information Protection technologies
• Experience with Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams
• Proficiency in administering Microsoft 365 using PowerShell
