Job Summary

To mitigate potential losses on delinquent loans, the full-time Illinois Licensed Loss Mitigation Specialist will manage loan files, evaluate borrower financial situations, and negotiate terms with various stakeholders while adhering to required protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Manage cases of loss mitigation loan files within required timelines and protocols
• Evaluate borrower application packages to determine financial circumstances and capacity to pay
• Negotiate terms with mortgagors, real estate brokers, attorneys, and clients

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1+ years' experience in mortgage underwriting
• Proficient with Microsoft applications, including Excel, and loan servicing platforms
• Strong analytical skills and ability to handle complex tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication skills to interact professionally with internal and external audiences
