Job Summary
Managing general liability and insurance defense cases, the full-time Illinois Licensed Of Counsel Attorney will handle all aspects of litigation from initial pleadings through trial preparation while collaborating closely with partners and clients to develop effective defense strategies.
Key responsibilities:
- Represent clients in court, arbitrations, and depositions for general liability and insurance defense cases
- Independently manage cases from start to finish, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial preparation
- Conduct legal research and draft briefs, memos, and pleadings while collaborating with partners and experts
Required qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in general liability and insurance defense
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admitted to practice in Illinois (additional states a plus)
- Experience in negotiations and mediations
- Strong analytical and research skills
