Illinois Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Job Summary
To support a growing practice, the full-time Illinois Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will assess patients' mental and physical health, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans, and provide individual psychotherapy remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct assessments, diagnose psychiatric disorders, and create treatment plans for adolescent and adult patients
- Prescribe medications, monitor patient responses, and educate patients and families about mental health conditions
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) and ensure compliance with HIPAA and national standards of care
Required qualifications
- 2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
- Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) license
- Experience in Addiction and Mental Health
- Ability to work with patients across the lifespan, particularly those with severe mental illness (SMI)
- Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and treatment planning
