Job Summary
To support a growing mental health practice, the full-time Illinois Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will assess patients' mental and physical health, diagnose psychiatric disorders, conduct individual psychotherapy, and prescribe medications while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Assess patients' mental and physical status, diagnose psychiatric disorders, and develop treatment plans
- Conduct individual psychotherapy and prescribe psychotropic medications, monitoring patients' medication use and side effects
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) and ensure compliance with HIPAA and state regulations
Required qualifications
- 2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
- Currently holds a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license (PMHNP)
- Experience in Addiction and Mental Health
- Comfortable working with patients across the lifespan (ages 13 years and older)
- Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and/or substance abuse dual-diagnoses
